CLINICAL RECOGNITION | November 2018
NAME: Sarah Osterloh, PT, DPT
DEPARTMENT: Physical Therapy
YEARS WORKED AT WAYNE HEALTHCARE: 7 Months
SPECIAL EXPERIENCE OR FAVORITE MOMENT AT WAYNE HEALTHCARE: When I was finally hired at WHC, I was previously here as a student and applied for a job immediately after school, though unfortunately the timing did not work at the time. I could not believe my luck when I heard a position had become available. I knew it was where I wanted to be!
FAMILY: Parents- Sharon and Luke Osterloh, Sisters-Jenna, Mindy & Rachel, Nieces-Brook & Morgan, Nephews-Cooper, Grady & Maxwell
HOBBIES: Walking my dog, reading, baking, spending time with Nieces and Nephews
REASON SELECTED FOR EOM:
Sarah has demonstrated value since the day she started (and now has been here ῀6 months). She provides care exceedingly well by exhibiting traits that contribute to all of our company values – but especially so with delivering care, creating a great workplace, connecting together, and improving the patient experience. Sarah is constantly reflecting on her level of care and asking questions to other clinicians about further ideas to assist her patients in making more efficient progress. She cites evidence for her clinical decision making and works to apply new knowledge into practice. When I need help, Sarah is always up to the task! I know she’s the person I can always count on when I am in a bind. On several occasions, she has picked up an extra patient on her schedule to get them in more quickly. She is great at exchanging ideas and assists with community engagement activities that are not requirements of our department but on a volunteer basis. She has improved the culture of our shared space in the short time she’s been with WHC and has been an exceptional team member and clinician. Our patients are better served with her on our staff!
